I noticed that it’s been a while since I last made a dip type thing. Looking at the cashew nuts in the jar, ‘the homemade vegan cheese’ crossed my mind.
There are lots of vegan cheeses out there, but I’m not very keen on them so I never bought any of it. But I’ve wanted to try making my own, so I did.
Turned out was..oh so delicious cheesy dip! When it comes to a dip, I almost always have hoummus. This was something very new to me and I truly enjoyed it on some home made biscuits.
Very easy to make and it lasts in the fridge for at least a couple of days. (I couldn’t make it last for any longer)
50g cashew nuts soaked in 120g water for at least 2 hours
1/4 heap tsp vegan bouillon powder
1 tsp ground flax seed
1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
Blend everything until it’s smooth.
